Bio
Dr. Paula Edwards is Director of the Center for Pediatric Outcomes and Quality, a collaborative research center developed by Children's Healthcare of Atlanta and Georgia Tech's Health Systems Institute. Her research focuses on the use of information technology and human-integrated systems methods to improve quality and safety in pediatric healthcare. She has over ten years of experience in design and implementation of software applications in a variety of industries, including healthcare. Her current research projects include an examination of usability and acceptance of electronic medical record and CPOE systems and the design, implementation, and use of systems to measure, analyze and report clinical outcomes to inform quality improvement initiatives in hospital and outpatient settings.
