My name is Abhilasha Jain.I am a graduate student in Building Construction Program integrated with Facility Management. My undergraduate degree is in Architecture from India. I want to specialize in Health Care Facility and Building Management and hence taking courses with Health systems and also working with CHOA at Hughes Spalding as a GRA.

I haven't got a lot of exposure to the Health centers but just one time visit to Georgia Tech health center was definitely a good experience. It was very convenient to just walk across the campus and get my self treated for a minor illness with no wait time as compared to visiting Emergency department where I had to wait for more than an hour with my broken hand. I think minimum wait time and easy access is what makes a Health center special in its function.
