Believe in Tomorrow Foundation - Pain Management and Distraction Technology
Pain Management & Distraction is the practice of helping critically ill children reduce their pain, anxiety and fears, by bringing comfort to their medical procedures. They do this through Children's Imagine Areas which is diversion technology and forms of distraction. This is accomplished through virtual reality, sensory stimulating objects, and other items, which help captivate and divert a child's attention during treatment. They use things like focus toys, such as, kaleidoscopes, hand-held video games, and squeeze balls, which the child is allowed to keep after the procedure is done.
