Brani Vidakovic Elected as Fellow of American Statistical Association

BME/HSI Professor Receives Prestigious Honor
The American Statistical Association (ASA) has selected Brani Vidakovic, Professor
of Bioengineering Statistics at The Wallace
H. Coulter Department of Biomedical Engineering and HSI, as a 2008 Fellow. Each year, ASA members nominate their
peers as fellows of the ASA. From the ASA By-Laws: "By the honorary title
of Fellow the Association recognizes full members of established reputation
who have made outstanding contributions in some aspect of statistical work." Given
annually, this is a great honor as the numbers of recipients are limited to
no more than 1/3 of 1% of the ASA membership.
