NDA - Nurse Digital Assistant

Abstract

The Nurse Digital Assistant(NDA) is a wearable computing device used by the nurse which helps decrease time spent in documentation within the ICU room. This allows them to divert the saved time towards direct patient care. By using image and voice recognition technology, NDA automates the documentation process and eases communication with other team members. It also provides a simple user-friendly interface which allows nurses to easily navigate through its functions such as automated vital sign monitoring, medication tracking and medical report alerts.
