My Background

I am a Master's student in Computer Science with a background in Electrical and Computer Engineering.

I took this class since I was interested on learning some of the healthcare issues with the different software technologies and to apply my degree on helping solving these issues.

Class Notes

September 30 Visited Piedmont Hospital ICU. It was a great experience to be there and listen to the different problems patients and healthcare providers face in ICUs. One of the most interesting aspects was that they own electronic software for each department but these independent softwares do not communicate with each other.


October 21 It was interesting to see in class today how the majority of issues deal with patients, doctors and family communications and ICU organization.
