RESEARCH INTERESTS

I am interested in applying new technologies to medical care. My dissertation "Application of Augmented Reality to Laparoscopic Surgery" applied developing techniques from computer graphics, image processing, and computer vision to laparoscopic surgery. These ideas are continuing to be developed by InnerOptic Technologies Inc.

More recently I have been involved in research including projects in use of simulation in medical education, the effects of ambient sound on emergency care, and use of ultrasound in emergency medicine.
