HSI at the APHA Public Health and Human Rights Conference
The Health Systems Institute (HSI) at Georgia Tech hosted a booth at the 134th American Public Health Association (APHA) Annual Meeting & Exposition in Boston, MA, November 4-8, 2006. W. Brad Jones and David Huang, two of the Institute's Ph.D. students, presented a talk at the conference relating to HSI and its initiatives. They, along with David Cowan, MSHS and Executive in Residence for HSI, answered questions of interested students, faculty and public health representatives.

4th Annual Health Systems Student Symposium :: April 21 - 22, 2006
Keynote addresses were given by:
- Dean Athanassiades, Philips Healthcare Consulting, on the successful integration of new technology in healthcare
- Pam Arlotto, President, Maestro Strategies and a leading authority in healthcare information technology, on predictions of the future based on her rich and broad experiences
- Brani Vidakovic, PhD, Professor, Georgia Tech, on practical applications of statistics in health systems research
