Masters Program
Financial Support
Financial aid for masters students is available to many and comes in the form of industry sponsored graduate research assistantships (GRAs). These GRAs provide a waiver of tuition and a monthly stipend of approximately $500.
Being part of a GRA program requires that you actively participate in research projects related to needs of the sponsoring organization. These projects most often involve being on site at the client's location (e.g. hospital or consulting firm office). Most sponsors require a face-to-face interview before offering support, so opportunities may not be immediately available.
In addition to financial support, the GRA program provides "real world" experience to the student participant as well as networking opportunities. The program prepares students to be very well-rounded; learning about Healthcare Finance, Healthcare Administration, Healthcare IT, the types of Healthcare facilities, Healthcare workers and their roles, Regulations, Process Improvement, and many other facets of the industry.
